About

For as long as I can remember I’ve been drawing clothing designs in a sketchbook, creating dance routines, writing scripts and stories, collecting traces of the universe for reference, overall I remember how devoted I was to experimenting with the magic of life.

Growing up in 90’s- early 2000’s San Francisco, I absolutely took advantage of every opportunity I could to be a freaking rascal. Punk shows at Mission Records, The Pound, or 3 bus rides away in Pacifica. Taquerias for breakfast lunch and dinner, gorgeous murals on every corner, MUNI and BART, bootleg Sublime covers on Hippie Hill and cold ass bonfires. Shwag dub sacks from train-hoppers and sandy 40 oz bottles- I’m trying to evoke an illusion for you.

I am myself a ‘self taught’ designer. I've been sewing since I was about 8, I learned how to use a pattern at 11, I learned how to use a sewing machine that same year in summer school but it wasn’t until 2003 when Ms.Loo took me on and taught me pattern making in an after school sewing class.

Ms. Loo was also my high school history teacher at the time, she not only taught us the treacherous and sometimes beautiful past of yesterday but she transported us to feel, touch and envision us there.

It was then that I felt each of the individual arts I love tie themselves together into a wonderful bow of creating stories.

Every piece is made in my cozy one bedroom apartment in sunny soaked Los Angeles <3
