When I was a kid growing up with my dad, the shelves were always lined with scholarly books on greek philosophy and myths. But what balanced out this seriousness was the dry humor that lingered in little corners like a picture of Harpo Marx opening up his trench coat of badges to a police officer in our bathroom for some reason that I later moved to my room.
A memory that clicks in my head as a young person is laughing at Harpo, I remember that joy, that innocent childlike joy. So sweet, a moment so soft I can hardly pinch it.
It’s funny now that I work in a comedy club these days, looking back I see all the signs, like a framed photo of a clown in my childhood bedroom.
Made from different variations of polkadot chiffon, and pieces of a black base polkadot stretch lace along the collar, sleeve ruffle and upper back. Semi- sheer, no lining, who needs it- show it off!
