Kim Deal. One of my biggest musical inspirations, her bouncy bass lines, screeching choruses, melodic grunge punk that speaks to my soul. Going from The Pixies, getting her songs shut down, fighting for “Gigantic”, my favorite Pixies song, to forming The Breeders, a storm of energy waiting to burst. She’s also featured on another favorite of mine by Sonic Youth, “Little Trouble Girl”.
New Year is the first song on Last Splash by The Breeders, it feels like a fresh start “we have come for light..” into “I am the sun, I am the New Year, I am the rain'“. As a stay at home mom for 3 years '“No Aloha” was my anthem, currently it is “New Year”.
On the other side we have soft pink cherubs on a lilac base, a little touch to make one piece go just a little bit further.
Fully boned and ties in the back and shoulder straps for closure.
Made from salvaged sun and moon jaquard print upholstery fabric, cherub printed chiffon, stiff canvas, boning, grommets and gold trim.
