My mind naturally said Medici when I found this print and as I kept going the name was whispering in my ear. I'm not a Medici aficionado by all means so I decided to do some research before naming this piece and sure enough there is a corset worn by Cathrine D'Medici in shining gold just like this one. I did make the choice to go with black trimming but hers is none the less strikingly similar. What a dream.
