The Juniper 2-Piece Ruffled and Tiered Prairie Dress
The Juniper 2-Piece Ruffled and Tiered Prairie Dress
With any spare time I have I love to look at old patterns and gunne sax desses online. One day I put the two ideas together and utilized what I learned about 1970’s dresses to make this amazing versatile tiered and boat neck dress/ skirt/ top set.
Together it looks like one piece, one whole perfect prairie dress to skip in the field with. As a skirt you can pair it with your favorite punk band tee or Filipino pop band tee. And as a top you’re able to wear it with jeans, dress up another dress or wear unbuttoned for a layered look.
I gave Alexys a dress hike in one of the photos because she is 4’11 but even without it she moved pretty well. * If you are interested in a matching dress hike please e-mail me and I’d be happy to whip one up for ya <3
The black and white boxy floral cotton was sourced from an Estate Sale of a woman who seemed to own and run her own fashion business in LA in the 1960s-70s. Hence the vintage inspired direction when cutting into her precious 50 year old uncut fabric
